Rooted in Community, Built on Integrity.
For the last five decades, Interstate Engineering has partnered with communities to deliver practical solutions and long-lasting relationships because it matters where we live, work, and lead.
Where It Started
Since 1976, Interstate Engineering has been delivering innovative engineering, surveying, and planning solutions throughout the Upper Midwest. Our commitment to integrity, quality, and loyalty drives every project and every client relationship.
Our story began with five guys in a van who set out to provide essential infrastructure improvements to counties and towns across North Dakota. That humble beginning laid the foundation for who we are today, a company built on hard work, core values, community, and doing the job right the first time. We’re problem-solvers who roll up our sleeves and get the work done.
Today, Interstate Engineering has more than 180 employees spanning across five states with 19 strategically located offices, allowing us to serve clients efficiently and effectively. With a strong local presence backed by a diverse network of expertise, we deliver tailored solutions for projects of every size. Our mission, vision, and values define not only what we do but who we are. From rural communities and growing urban centers to water resource districts, tribal communities, and private developers, our team is dedicated to being the professionals you need and the people you trust.
