Williston Water World

Williston Water World started as a community vision, and through community engagement and fundraising efforts, Community Builders is proving the idea holds water. With EAPC Architects leading the design, Interstate Engineering was hired as a sub-consultant to provide survey, site design, and pool deck design, including water and sewer utilities, grading, and a stormwater detention system for the outdoor waterpark.

From a civil and site design perspective, the project has been straightforward. By leveraging previously gathered survey data, we were able to streamline the survey process. Being mindful of the project budget, Interstate Engineering used intuitive design to streamline the process while providing a feasible and functional site design.  

Utility coordination held the potential for challenge, but strong communication, coordination, and providing the architect, utility providers, and the City of Williston with options led to a design outcome that met project demands. Our team has met with city staff throughout the design process to ensure the project follows city, state, and construction codes involving ADA compliance.
